Super Visa (For Parents And Grandparents)
A super visa allows parents and grandparents to visit their children or grandchildren for a period up to two years at a time. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years. If the requirement is to stay for six months or less, applicants should select a visitor visa.
All applicants are required to purchase private medical insurance before landing in Canada.
Please note that Super Visa holders are not allowed to work in Canada. There is a permanent residence program for parents and grandparents; however, there is a limited supply of visas under this program, and applications can take a long time to be processed.
There Are A Number For Basic Requirements For A Super Visa:
- — Possess an invitation from a host in Canada (i.e. your child or grandchild). The host must meet a minimum income threshold, as they are responsible for your financial support while in Canada
- — Pass the medical examination

- 3. provide a minimum coverage of CAD 100,000
- 4. be valid for each entry to Canada
